Prelude in C
Why should pianists have all the fun? Dive in and explore one of the most iconic pieces in all of Western classical music: J. S. Bach's Prelude in C, the opening composition in his 1722 masterpiece Das wohltemperierte Klavier ("The Well-Tempered Clavier"). James introduces this unique four-part ukulele arrangement in Episode 12, Season 2 of the Uketropolis Podcast:
Includes mp3 audio of both the ukulele-quartet arrangement of Prelude in C and the ukulele-quintet arrangement of the Bach/Gounod Ave Maria.
Includes play-along audio files. Count-ins have been added to all parts and reverb has been removed for clarity. Each audio file lets you hear a single ukulele part on its own. Also included are play-along recordings that remove one part at a time so that you can fill in the missing notes.
Please Note: Gounod's Ave Maria includes a 4-measure introduction that is not part of Bach's original prelude. When you practice Ave Maria, be sure to play along with the MP3 named "Bach-Gounod Ave Maria with Count-in - All Parts.mp3" or "Bach-Gounod Ave Maria with Count-in - No Solo.mp3". Enjoy!
