Decide on what's most important to you as a ukulele player. Then identify your strengths and weaknessess as a musician. Finally, commit to setting apart some time for ukulele practise in your weekly schedule. Focus on the fundamentals of solo ukulele technique from Book 1 and Book 2. Focus especially on understanding and applying interlaced and synchronous techniques. Choose a repertoire-based learning pathway in addition to Skills & Technique so that you have the opportunity to apply your skills.

Fostering mental and physical health through ukulele study is your priority.
Follow the Mellow Moods & Lyrical Lines learning pathway. Playing lyrically (i.e. creating a flowing, connected melody line) is one of the biggest challenges for the solo ukulele player. Lyrical pieces are easy on the hands and sound very relaxing. There are many repertoire selections in The Ukulele Way that are perfectly suited for this.
